THINKATHON 2019/01 – Call for Participants

On Monday 14th to Tuesday 15th January 2019 the next Thinkathon collaborative ideas workshop takes place in Berlin, during Berlin Fashion Week as part of the Fashionsustain conference in the newly rebranded Neonyt Hub for sustainability and innovation – which this upcoming season will be themed around water.

Organised by Sourcebook on behalf of Messe Frankfurt, the hackathon-inspired event brings teams of international, multidisciplinary experts together for an intense, two day pop-up think tank to find sustainable solutions to challenges in the fashion and textiles industry.

The Thinkathon Challenges are set by leading companies and organisations: last season we were honoured to have Hugo Boss, KPMG x Microsoft HoloLens, and Techtextil & Texprocess as Challenge Hosts – so expect some equally fantastic partners for the forthcoming edition.

Would you like to help shape the future for a sustainable fashion and textiles industry? Then apply to be a Thinkathon Participant!

Participants not only get to collaborate with their team members from different places and disciplines – from fashion and textiles, to technology, science and research – but are also supervised by qualified design thinking coaches and get to discuss their ideas with their Challenge Hosts before pitching their finalised solutions to them.

To conclude, a summary of the workshop will be presented on the Kraftwerk mainstage during the Fashionsustain conference on Wednesday 16th January 2019. Furthermore, Participants have access to all Neonyt events held in the Kraftwerk venue from the 15th to 17th January, besides all the networking opportunities at Berlin Fashion Week.
